Tapulanga and SFAS Updates - March 2024

 DONOR VISIT

Donor visits play an important role in establishing a more personal connection between donors and scholars. Here in Tapulanga, our generous donors get a chance to meet their scholars in person.

Check out our recent visits last February!

GRADES 4-6 OUTREACH

To encourage student engagement in the community, the school brought back its yearly Outreach program. On February 14, 2024, students from grades 4 to 6 did kind things for others and showed how even little acts can make a big difference. The families they helped were really thankful and felt the students' kindness. Students from other grade levels extended the outreach program to neighboring communities and schools as well.

HOMEVISITS TO NEW SCHOLAR APPLICANTS

As St. Francis of Assisi School in Silay City begins accepting admissions for the upcoming school year 2024-2025, the Tapulanga Foundation has also initiated the process of accepting scholarship applications. As part of the application process, the foundation conducts home visits to evaluate the financial circumstances of the applicants, ensuring that the scholarships are awarded to deserving individuals who will truly benefit from them. We are grateful to everyone who warmly welcomed us into their homes as well.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

Last February 29, 57 students from St. Francis of Assisi School of Silay City, most of whom are from the 3rd grade, had their First Holy Communion at Our Lady of Nativity Chapel in Hacienda Tinihaban, Silay City. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Regner Dequeña, our parish priest. We hope that the communicants and their parents will always feel God's blessings and love in their lives from this special day onwards.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We kindly request your support in raising funds for our Kindergarten's final field trip of the school year to Splash Park-Bacolod, a water-themed park. Your generous donation will enable us to provide our students with a memorable and educational experience, where they can develop their social skills, enhance their physical coordination, and foster a love for outdoor exploration. Additionally, a parent will accompany the students on the field trip, not only to assist the teachers but also to strengthen the bond with their children.

Fundraising Goal: Php30,000 or $550
