We told the kids that for Lent, our sacrifices should result to almsgiving. We'll pool our funds to send a child to school thru Tapulanga. One of the kids was inspired, made a "box of God" and went around school asking for money explaining his cause. A lot of classmates and teachers gave. The kids have chosen Miah to sponsor :)
My son's classmates started making paper fans and sold it for P5 or P10 I think. Simple paper folded to a fan. And the proceeds of the sale goes to the Scholarship Fund for the Tapulanga Foundation.
My son had another idea. He started selling his drawings. Ambot ah - may mga nag-bakal man! Simple drawings. But his classmates knew that the funds were going to send Miah to school. Now, I'll print Miah's picture with a write-up and put it on a container. So my son can use that to tell people about Tapulanga and Miah.
